My name is Lindsey. Please ADOPT ME!

I am 1 year and 4 months old and have been living at Soi Dog, Phuket, Thailand for a whole year now. That is most of my life.

I was found on the streets alone and unwell. I had a terrible cough, weeping eyes and scabs on my skin. It is difficult enough to survive on the streets as a young pup, but when you are sick it is even harder. I don�t like to dwell on it much, but I don�t think I would have survived if the Soi Dog van had not picked me up one day. I was so very scared.

The vets at Soi Dog are amazing. They made me well again and made me happy. Now I live in a run with 19 other dogs. It is rather a nice run, with trees and plants and sheltered places to sit. I am very lucky. It is a pretty place to be.

I am a boisterous and playful girl, now that I feel safe in the walls of the shelter. I have been able to flourish and enjoy myself like a young dog should. I can be bossy amongst my pack but only because I like to have fun and because I am still a young, energetic girl. The shelter though is not a place for a dog to live forever. It is a sanctuary to nurture in times of need, but I should not have to live here all my life.

I would like a home of my own with a family who love me. I am friendly and would do so well in the real world, where I could go on lovely long walks with my new clan. I have heard that lots of dogs are getting adopted from Soi Dog at the moment and it so exciting for all of us here! Some of my friends have found new homes in Canada and America. Others have gone to the UK or Europe. What an amazing adventure! I do hope it is my turn soon.
