The click of the camera caused her to look up just once, as a volunteer tried to capture the true horror of her appearance. Surrounded by five other dogs in need of urgent treatment, Lovia trembled in fear. The expression in her eyes silently conveyed her pain. Through them, she pleaded for help.

Lovia is only 2 years of age. She was suffering from one of the worst cases of demodectic mange our vets have ever seen. Had you met her then, her scarred, hairless body, and the look of desperation in her eyes, would have haunted you forever.

That was one month ago.

Her hair has started to grow back, slowly at first, then more and more with each passing day. The fear in her eyes is gone � replaced with something more powerful: hope.
