May you be in a peaceful place, Mr Leonard Nimoy.
“Live long and prosper” – Leonard Nimoy. He certainly did, as a vegetarian too.

Leonard Nimoy, 1931 – 2015
We say farewell to the man we all knew as Star Trek’s stoic and faultlessly logical Mr. Spock; Leonard Nimoy was also a gifted poet, musician and photographer. He died on Friday, 27 February.
Leonard Nimoy was a vegetarian; the character he was most famous for portraying was the first vegetarian to appear regularly on television. As the first officer aboard the Starship Enterprise on Star Trek, Mr. Spock belongs to the Vulcan race which does not consume meat. However, people in the Star Trek universe had it a bit easier than vegetarians today. In the 24th century technology made it possible to replicate food to taste like meat without having it come from animals.
When Star Trek first appeared on television in 1966, Mr. Spock’s vegetarian diet seemed as odd to many Americans as his pointed ears. Now, nearly 50 years later, many earthlings agree with the logic of eating a plant-based diet. His famous quote “Live long and prosper” fits this message beautifully too.
Thank you, Mr. Nimoy.
