BE SOMEBODYS HERO! JOIN THE ACRES WILDLIFE GUARDIANS / WILDLIFE RESCUE TEAM!
Join us as a Wildlife Guardian! We need enthusiastic individuals to assist with providing the very best care for the rescued wild animals at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC). Or join our Wildlife Rescue team and help with rescuing wild animals in need all over Singapore, from trapped snakes to injured birds and abandoned tortoises. While on rescue missions with the ACRES team, youll also be playing a vital role raising public awareness on native wildlife.
Both roles provide direct, hand-on experience with saving and helping wild animals in need. If you are passionate about wildlife, why not sign up for one, or both, of our next training sessions!
Wildlife Guardians Training Programme:
Administrative & training fee: SGD $30.00
Date and time: 28th March 2015 (Saturday), 10am to 5pm. All trainees are required to attend the full training session.
Venue: ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC), 91 Jalan Lekar, Singapore 698917.
Requirements: Wildlife Guardian trainees must be confident handling reptiles, be 16 years and above and vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B, and tetanus.
Commitment: Able to volunteer for at least two shifts a month. Each shift lasts for 3 or 3.5 hours (9.30am-1pm and/or 2pm-5pm).
Wildlife Guardian trainees who successfully graduate from the course will assist at the AWRC with animal care duties, maintenance of enclosures and providing environmental enrichment for the animals.

Wildlife Rescue Training Programme:
Administrative & training fee: SGD $30.00
Date and time: 22st March 2015 (Saturday), 10am to 5pm. All trainees are required to attend the full training session.
Venue: ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC), 91 Jalan Lekar, Singapore 698917.
Requirements: Wildlife Rescue trainees must be confident handling wild animals, be 21 years and above and vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B, rabies and tetanus.
Commitment: Able to volunteer for at least two shifts a month. Day shift is from 9.30am to 5pm; night shift is from 5pm to 9.30am the following day. Wildlife Rescue volunteers are to report for duty at the AWRC.
Wildlife Rescue trainees who successfully graduate from the course will assist with our wildlife rescue operations for native and exotic species. To volunteer with the Wildlife Rescue Team you will need to undergo a full day of training and on-the-job observations before handling any animal.
