A VERY SPECIAL CHINESE NEW YEAR REUNION!

Just like children, baby macaques can find themselves in trouble when they are not careful in the midst of play.

On the morning of Chinese New Year Eve, a baby macaque was rescued and re-united with her family after getting her hand entangled in some construction netting at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. NUS researcher Joys Tan alerted the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Team when she heard distress calls from a troop that she was studying.

We thank Joys Tan and NParks staff for working together with us to ensure a smooth rescue operation.
