Adoption Spotlight: LULLABY the rescued kitten
This cat rescued from between the pipes and wall of a block in Bedok, on 10 Feb 2015, is now up for adoption!
Now named LULLABY, this sweetie, a female local tabby-coloured, 8-month-wise kitten, now wishes that being the forever furkid of a loving adoptive family out there, is no longer a pipe dream!
Just last evening (10 Feb), we rescued a cat that was found to be caught between the pipes and wall of an apartment block in Bedok. The distressed cat was observed to have been in that state for some time.
Our rescue officer, Dilun, then attempted to free the cat from its predicament by carefully manoeuvring its head and front limbs to be extricated, followed by its posterior, out of the narrow spaces.
(As the cat was suitably obliging, it was quite easily pried free. It was found to be physically fine, though a little shaken.)
The cat, a female local cat, was then brought to our shelter. Not microchipped, and not ear-tipped, it will be sterilised by our vets and then readied for adoption. Do look out for this cat once its up for adoption (the cat will be featured on our online adoption gallery, in perhaps a few weeks’ time, on: http://www.spca.org.sg/services.asp?cat=2).
(We thank our informer, Ms Cassendra, for alerting us to the cats distress.)
Members of the public who find any animal to be sick, injured and/or in distress from the streets are urged to alert the SPCA at its 24-hour emergency hotline 62875355 ext 9. We will accord top priority to clear emergency cases.
