For those of us who live with canine companions, we�re pretty sure that many times they know what we�re thinking and feeling.

Now, there is convincing scientific evidence to back this up.

According to a new study, dogs can indeed tell the difference between happy and angry human faces. The discovery represents the first solid evidence that an animal other than humans can discriminate between emotional expressions in another species, the researchers say.

All scientific evidence that supports the notion that non-human animals are sentient beings is important, as we call for animals to be better protected.
