They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with ten other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.

I am Lila and I am about 3 years old.

I couldn�t even breathe properly there were so many of us in one cage. I am sorry to say but a dog died right next to me � he just gave up the will to live and stopped breathing. I tried my best to be brave, I really did. I am very grateful to the kind people who stopped our truck with all the cages filled with dogs and let us out.

Now, I dream of a home of my own, where I can be loved for the rest of my days. Could that be with YOU?

I am very friendly and love seeing new people. I am eager to please and have lots of energy for daily walks. I would love to go to a foreign country like the US or Canada. I know many dogs get adopted to Europe so this would be a great option too.
