RESCUED IN THE SNOWIEST CITY IN AMERICA!
Three more cats joined our feral cat barn sanctuary today. The air today was a stinging 6 degrees (-14 Celcius) and our cat rescue work takes place in the city of Worcester, Massachusetts which is now OFFICIALLY named SNOWIEST CITY IN AMERICA!
We have had 90.1 inches of snow so far this winter (228 cm). This poor guy is a feral who came from a neighborhood where no one wanted him and no one wanted volunteers to feed him. We’ve named him Simba and he’s going in for dental surgery soon as he has stomatitis which makes his mouth very painful. We have every expectation that he will heal and go on to enjoy a magical life in our little barn and adjoining play-yard.
Nearly every day of the week we try to say THANK YOU to all of you who support the Harmony Fund. I hope that perhaps this little face, warm at last, can remind us all why we wake up early and go to bed late – always, always, always trying to save one more.
