Ever since Chew contacted me over Din's need of help to buy puppy food for the 8 orphaned puppies that he was willing to foster, I have been working at getting funds to help him.
This morning, we raised enough, through friends, to purchase two big packs of puppy food for the 8 puppies, which we trust will last them for a few weeks. However, two of the puppies are sick and have been sent to the vet while 6 are still with Din.
Chew came over to collect the food from Subang Jaya and he sent the food to Gombak, accompanied by a friend, Wuan.
This is Din's very modest and humble abode in Gombak.

Everybody gets some food, don't rush.
Happy after eating. That's the two packets of puppy food from us. It's puppy food with high quality calcium and high quality protein, recommended by the local shelter which uses it to revitalise dying puppies.
Din looks after cats as well.
This is the angel with a heart-of-gold. Pakcik Din is a retired musician and is 64 years old. He does not have a job or an income, yet he tries his very best to look after these stray animals. Two of his adult dogs have been sent to the vet for treatment. One passed away today. The other is still at the vet's. Pakcik Din regrets in not being able to get transport earlier to send his dogs to the vet.
We are planning on raising funds to purchase dogfood (and even catfood, should the need arises) for Pakcik Din, but as with all food donations, we would need someone to take charge of the collection and Mary Yap has volunteered.
The funds collected will be disbursed to Chew who will purchase the food on a regular basis for Pakcik Din. Today, from our event, we have also collected some donated adult food for his dogs.
Our very kind Dr Veeranoot has already responded this morning, too, with her generous donation for Pakcik Din, through Chew.
Just as we help Meiji, Phaik Imm, Susan, Jacinta and Kelly, let's help Pakcik Din as well. It isn't often that we find such kind souls, especially one who is himself, in need.
If you'd like to help Pakcik Din feed the animals under his care, you may bank-in your donation to Mary Yap's PBB account:
