Peggy Tiong has been communicating with me over the cats in her colony. Prior to her trip overseas, a white female cat had just given birth to five beautiful white kittens. Since the mother was looking after kittens, all ought to be fine.
However, when Peggy came back, she noticed only the mother and the kittens were no where to be seen at all. I told Peggy to observe how frequently the mother would spend time at house and Peggy said it was very frequent.
We both feared the worst - that the kittens had all perished, and we contemplated if we should get the mother spayed before she gets pregnant again.
Luckily we waited....because two days ago, the mother brought three white kittens back!
So we thought, well, alright, at least three are still alive. Maybe two had perished.
But we were wrong, and how glad we are, too........
Yesterday, the mother brought ALL five back to Peggy's house!!
Peggy said they are all so beautiful, too! The mother-cat has been looking after her 5 kittens...in a secret place.
Isn't that great?
Some mother-cats are very good at hiding and protecting their kittens.
We're really glad for that! That's yet another piece of good news to share!
