The reality of life is that while there is good news, there will also be bad ones. This is an inescapable fact of life.
Rozita texted this morning to say that the last remaining Calico baby from the litter of five newborns who were dumped in a box had passed on yesterday and was laid to rest with her four siblings.
We share Rozita's sadness and grief. It must have been so trying for her, trying her very best to nurse these five kittens and having to watch them fade away one by one. I told Rozita the five kittens are in a better place now because they had the 2 days with Rozita where they received a lot of love and care. It DOES make a significant difference as time is relative. Moments of love are immeasurable and very precious.
May the five siblings be in a better place now, free from evil doers and free from harm and danger. Their suffering is over. We are sad, but must move on and help others now.
This is the sad fate of stray baby animals that are sometimes captured and dumped by evil humans.
Spay-neuter, please. That is the long-term solution to reduce such suffering.
