WE WON’T LET WINTER HARM THEM: “You’re Safe Little Ones”

Please don’t ask the rescuers we help what life would be like without Harmony Fund. It’s an emotional subject, as they tell us over and over how they have been on the verge of their animals not having food for several days, of the landlord throwing them out for unpaid rent, of an outbreak of disease because they couldn’t afford vaccines. It’s all because of you that thousands of rescued animals will make it through this winter.

In the last 30 days alone, you provided $34,000 in aid to animal rescue squads trying to protect their animals from cold and snow. Though all the shelters are full, people are constantly dropping animals at the gate. And how exactly do you keep walking when there’s a package of whimpering puppies at your feet? All they can do is to scoop up the new arrivals and hold them, whispering “You’re safe now little ones.”

How exactly do we say thank you for such a thing? There aren’t enough words in the English language, or in any language, to express the bottomless relief you have provided to so many beating hearts.
