Amber Horsey was rescued from Klang by Joanne Lim, and found to have had compound fracture in her back leg. The leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. She has also been spayed. Her medical treatment was sponsored from our funds.
Amber Horsey has since been fostered and rehabilitated by Lydia, and Amber H is now ready for adoption.
Updates from Lydia:
Amber is doing well and her skin which was patchy and bald in several spots have just about all healed by now.I am so pleased her skin has healed as when we first fostered her the vet was not sure if it would ever heal as it probably due to longterm fungal infections or some other skin infection. I've also been working on getting her more trusting of people and what made the amazing difference was when my sister's 2kids came to stay for 2weeks. Amber immediately took to them and was constantly nuzzling them. I was afraid that after they left, Amber would withdraw again but we are moving forward and she's much more willing to approach people and be touched. We are also now able to take her on walks with our pack of 6 and she behaves rather well for a dog that used to go ballistic and so fearful when a leash was put on her. We are well on the road for a better life! Amber has become best friends with our own female tripod Seven and can often be caught looking at Seven for cues as to how to behave. Big sister has been a good teacher and they often sleep close to each other. I know I asked of you to assure me that the rescuer will not "dump" Amber on me as we started this journey with Amber with an unknown rescuer at that time. I have come to know the rescuer and she visits when she can and has even come once to help bath the dogs at home when requested. I believe that I can work together with her to ensure that Amber is found a good home and I just want to thank you for giving your earlier assurance that you will help me at all cost to ensure that I'm not put in a bad position with Amber but now I'm comfortable with working direct with the rescuer on Amber's rehoming. Thank you again. If anyone is interested in adopting Amber they can also contact me at 017-6623238. Many thanks and stay well, Lydia
