I had rushed the RetroMAD1 from Mr Huan's PJ laboratory to our panel vet in USJ Taipan as I was told he would like to try it on someone's FIP kitten.

I was told today that the owner has decided not to use the drug.

Since we already have the drug, we have decided to use it on Puteri, Mary's rescued kitten with Sporotrichosis.

Although the drug is specifically for cats who have been diagnosed with FIV, FeLV or FLV, Mr Huan explained that Puteri's sporotrichosis may be due to an unknown and unindentifiable virus as Sporo sometimes manifests due to immuno-suppression, which may be due to the presence of a virus in the body.

Hence, there is no harm trying the drug alongside Puteri's treatment with Itraconazole.

We hope it may quicken Puteri's recovery.

Puteri has Sporotrichosis on her nose.

There are no visible wounds anywhere on her body.
