Last week the ACRES Macaque Team attended to a case which ended with a miraculous twist!
They were alerted of a dehydrated lone young macaque with an open wound on its back and chest region in Bishan park by a post in the Nature Society Singapore facebook page.
The wound needed urgent medical help to prevent the spread of infection as the lone macaque did not have a troop to assist. With the help from the public who contacted the ACRES 24-Hour Wildlife Rescue hotline, the team managed to trek this macaque immediately and accurately. We thank the members of the public for their assistance.
Read on to find out how this young macaque found its road to recovery! #savesgmonkeys
