UPDATE: Bombed Out Animals Arrive Safely!

The 30 animals and their caretaker Valentina who had been huddled together in a frozen, windowless summer cabin in the small city of Debalzevohave, Ukraine now arrived safely at FRIEND shelter. Yes, they are in very poor condition, all of them.

War forever changes a person. Valentina appears to be in shock. She is not speaking. She has been through too much, losing her home and now finding herself so far from everything and everyone she once knew. The animals have various illnesses and health conditions. Help did not arrive a moment too soon. They all need time to heal on the inside and out. They will not freeze. They will not starve. But it will take more than food and heat. It’s going to take a lot of time and a whole lot of love.
