Last night, Cathy, who lives down my road, sat by the drain with the cat-trap (borrowed from us) in her ongoing attempt to catch the two (intact) male cats on that part of her road. These two fellows have been terrorising the other cats in that colony.
Mr White, as he is known, had actually walked into the trap. Unfortunately, our trap had been used too many times and the spring had got loose, so Mr White managed to squeeze out of the trap and escaped!
Sigh...this means BOTH our traps cannot be used now. The first was destroyed by Blackie, another terrorist from Sunway, and now this also doesn't work. Never mind, nothing lasts forever. It's meant to be used and it has done its job.
Cathy was undeterred...she tried again with the trap.
Mr White was around, but being smart, as most cats are, he wasn't going to go anywhere near the trap at all.
After many hours, Cathy texted to say Operation-Catch-Mr-White had been successful! Apparently, her neighbour managed to push the elusive and alpha cat into her carrier and trapped him thus.
Cathy said Mr White was VERY angry....
To ensure he won't escape again, Cathy put the carrier into another carrier...talk about being paranoid, but I would be, too.
Mr White at the vet's this morning.
Mr White has been neutered now, sponsored by us, while Cathy will take care of the cost for treating his mange.
We thank Cathy too, for her donation to our fund.
Now, Cathy is sitting by the drain again, to attempt to catch Mr White's terrorist-friend.
Good luck, Cathy!
