Understand Their Plight. Be Their Voice.

In 2015, all efforts from running events by the ACRES Wildlife Warrior will go towards Saving the Monkeys of Singapore. Runners from all walks of life will be pounding the pavements and dedicating miles to fund-raise and raise awareness on the plight of these monkeys. These highly misunderstood Long-tailed macaques are in urgent need for help before its too late. Native to Singapore’s wildlife, they are the only prominent primate species here followed by the elusive Banded leaf langurs.

The ACRES Macaque Team need funds to continue rescuing critically injured monkeys, rehabilitation before their release back into the wild. They also need funds to embark on new projects that will promote humane and effective alternatives towards harmonious human-macaque co-existence.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
