Depper was a very sick cat when she arrived at our shelter.

Only a year old, this little girl was suffering from a diaphragmatic hernia (a tear in the muscle separating her chest and abdomen) meaning her stomach, liver and intestines were entering her chest area. This was preventing her lungs from fully inflating, causing her great difficulty in breathing.

But poor Depper’s problems didn’t end there. She also had an inguinal hernia, meaning the contents of her abdomen were also pushing into her groin, and necrotizing pancreatitis, which was placing her pancreas under severe attack, essentially killing parts of it.

Depper is so lucky that she was brought to us in time, by a kind person who feeds the stray animals in his area. She is equally lucky that, thanks to the Soi Dog supporters who have joined our Care for Cats Club, our vets were able to treat her. Dr. Eed and Dr. Su did a great job performing surgery on Depper and we are hopeful she will now make a full recovery.

Please join our Care for Cats Club so that many more cats like Depper can be saved. As stray animals, they have nobody else to help them. YOU are their only hope. Just a few dollars a week is all it takes to change the world for so many.
