This is our latest case.

A shih tzu was found abandoned by the roadside at Bagan Lallang, today. Upon discovering her, our volunteer thought she was already dead. She was practically lying there, motionless and not responding to any callings.

Our volunteer picked her up and immediately sent her to Gill Veterinary Clinic. She weighted only a miserable 3.6kgs with 60% of her fat lost. She also has severe skin problem and her nails are pitifully too long due to long term caging. As a result, she could not stand properly without feeling a great pang of pain.

The cost of her medical treatment at this moment is estimate to be at RM480 with boarding at the clinic until Sunday. During this period, the vet will need to continue monitoring her condition and after which she will be allowed to discharge and receive outpatient treatment. Total cost of medical bills unknown till further notice.

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
