We posted on Dec 5, weeks ago, that both senior dogs POPPY and MAO MAO have found loving, new homes.
We’re pleased to add that 15-year-wise Schnauzer MAO MAO finally walks again!
Mao Mao’s new owner, Uma, having painstakingly taken Mao Mao through physiotherapy sessions, attributes this outcome to a “Christmas miracle”.
Uma had this to say,
“Mao did the hard work herself. The only thing we gave her was love, encouragement, physio, healthy food and supplements. The first week I got her, she used to do all her business lying down where she slept. By the second week she was standing up on her own, walking to the pee pads near her bed and relieving herself. Third week and she walks around, only relieves herself on her pee pads and barks once she’s done so we come and clean up. The one thing I’ve learnt when it comes to old dogs is to never mistake health issues they have as ‘age-related’. Old age is not a sickness. We treated her issues one at a time and the results were beyond our expectations. Or maybe it’s just a Christmas miracle.”
We, just as delighted to learn of Mao Mao’s progress, believe this is made possible only with the right combination of physiotherapy, perseverance, care and love.
Kudos to Uma and family for believing in Mao Mao, helping her regain her confidence, meaning, purpose and, of course, footing!

Hi, everyone. We are posting this on behalf of the owners of POPPY and MAO MAO who are looking to rehome them. Unfortunately, their owner is terminally ill and her family is focused on caring for her. They are no longer able to provide for the dogs.
Poppy is a female Shih-Tsu, blind but mobile and unsterilised. Mao Mao is a female schnauzer who is partially blind, sterilised and has some difficulty moving as all her legs are weak. Both dogs are 15 years wise. They mix well together, have pleasant personalities and are good with adults and children.
We’re hoping that you will help share this post, and for someone who will be able to take in Poppy and Mao Mao and give them a home until their final years. If you are interested in adopting the dogs, please contact 62875355 (ext.9) and ask to speak to Corinne. A visit can be arranged to see the dogs. (The dogs are in the present owner’s home.)
