New York Bans Cosmetic Pet Tattoos, Piercings

In the state of New York, it will soon be a chargeable offence, under the law, to pierce or tattoo one’s pet.

Penalties for violations can range up to 15 days in jail and fines of up to US$250, according to the state governor’s office.
