If you remember, Dr Veeranoot had to send four of Kwanjit's six kittens to the cat sanctuary in Segambut because her neighbour complained. Kwanjit is the mother-cat the doctor rescued from Section 17 while the cat was still pregnant. Dr Veeranoot provided her (Kwanjit) with a safe place (no, a safe haven!) to give birth and nurse her kittens.
The four kittens have since been adopted from the Segambut sanctuary, and all by one person. This was truly heaven-sent as the four kittens were all black.
Now, Dr Veeranoot has to put the two remaining kittens, Panda and Pancake, for adoption as well. This is because one of her other adoptees, Kwanchai, has been diagnosed with FeLV, so she does not want to risk the exposure to Panda and Pancake.
Panda and Pancake has been tested negative for FeLV. They are also dewormed, vaccinated, both spayed and are toilet-trained. They are five months old and have been living indoors since birth.
If you would like to give Panda and Pancake a home, please contact Dr Veeranoot on 016-3178195. She would prefer that they be adopted together as they are very close to each other.
Dr Veeranoot is also helping the stray cats in her apartment area at Pantai Hillpark. With the help of rescuer, Koo, she has managed to get a few into safe custody where she takes them to the vet for treatment and spay-neuter.
