Updates On 18th Nov 2014

This past Sunday, it was once again ACRES volunteers day and ACRES was graced by volunteers from all walks of life as they helped us with various projects. One of which was to expand Lola(African spurred tortoise) enclosure to accommodate Amber, our new African spurred tortoise whom we covered on few weeks ago. It was interesting and intriguing to watch how Lola and Amber interact. Lola, though smaller in size seemed more curious about Amber, whilst Amber was busy bulldozing everything down. We are keeping a close eye on them to see how they get along. WE WILL BE UPLOADING A VIDEO OF THEIR INTERACTION SOON!. In other news, our new and in-house designed night-dens for our Indian star tortoises have arrived. These wooden containers would replace our current night-dens and finally allow us to bring out more tortoises into our humble sanctuary….but we need help. We require help to varnish/pain the night dens and install few other attachments(Handy word experience would be good) to complete the night-dens. We would like to request for your help this Sunday ( 23rd Nov) to help us do this. Please do email us at volunteer@acres.org.sg if your able to help us this Sunday.
