Cat led from the roof to the ground.
Just yesterday (Sun, 16 Nov 2014), SPCA was alerted to a cat seen perched atop a beam near the ceiling of IMMs Shuttle Bus Pick-up Point in Jurong. The cat has been seen at that spot for a good five days, according to our informer (Ms Rani).
Our rescue officer, Daniel, with help from the IMM security officers and using a ladder, then attempted to cajole the cat from the height to the ground. It took about an hour for the cat to be led from the beam to the nearest adjoining trees branches. The cat then jumped onto the grass patch on the ground, and fled.
We thank Ms Rani as well as the IMMs staff, for helping us get the cat to the ground.
Members of the public can, likewise, help us to help any injured, sick and/or distressed animal, by calling our 24-hour emergency hotline at 62875355 extension 9, any day, any time. Clear emergency cases would be given top priority.
