The Coral Triangle Initiative for Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security event at the World Parks Congress (WPC) today heard the State Government of Sabah, through its lead agency Sabah Parks, announce that it is committed to gazette the close to 1 million hectares Tun Mustapha Park by 2015.

Assistant Director of Sabah Parks, Ludi Apin highlighted that once completed, the TMP will be Malaysia�s first multiple use park and the largest marine protected area in the country. The journey to gazette this important marine area began more than ten years ago for the State Government of Sabah through his agency.
