I went to the vet's today, to meet up with a mange cat case (but the cat got away before it was brought in) and chanced upon meeting Alice Ong instead.
Alice had just rescued this pedigree Schnauzer. She said she saw a man (we presume it's the owner or maybe also a rescuer (the kind that picks up and dumps to others)?) drive up to the bus stop near the local shelter, open his car door and dump this doggie out.
Sigh...no wonder I often see dead bodies of dogs on this road. People would just conveniently dump animals near the shelter. What is on their minds? Do they think the dogs would know how to go to the shelter, knock on the gates and say, "I've just been dumped, can I come in, please?" If these people have already come this far, how much more effort is needed to bring the poor animal INTO the shelter and pay that surrender fee and ensure that the dog is safe?
Some humans!
Anyway, Alice asked for help to neuter the dog and she wants to put him up for adoption.
Alice has named him "Grey".
The vet says Grey has a nasty ear infection, but he is so good that he doesn't snap at all.
He obeys the command "sit " and "lie down" instantly. He has also been recently, groomed and his tail is cropped. There is no doubt that he used to be a pet.
Grey is estimated to be about 2 years old only.
Here is he, lying down instantly upon the command "lie down". We tried "roll over", but we were pushing our luck!
He is an extremely friendly dog despite the painful ear infection.
Isn't it sad? He used to be someone's pet, and now he's been dumped.
Grey will be neutered tomorrow under our sponsorship, and thereafter, he will be put up for adoption. Interested, please call Alice Ong directly on 012-2717780.
Please forward.
Thank you.
