Mr Chong sent the pup to Ara Ampang Vet on Sunday and he has deposited RM300. Mr Chong, Brando and our Paws Mission volunteer have visited the pup and spoke to Dr Sugu to find out more about the pup. According to Dr Sugu, the little pup is around 2 months old and the burn is actually fresh wound which is around 1~2 days old. Puppy is in pain n keep crying when they visited him.

He kept whining and crying when he saw Mr Chong.

He is currently on IV Drip, 2 types of antibiotics, daily debridement and wound cleaning. The vet is charging around rm80 daily (inclusive of hospitalization, IV drip and wound cleaning). He can charge us slightly cheaper if we buy the bandage on our own.

Total RM500 for 3 days. The vet does not want to keep the pup for long term. He only agreed to keep the pup for max 5 days.

The chances of survival for this pup is 50-50 according to Dr Sugu. We will transfer the pup to another vet to seek for second opinion.

There are a few complications here:
1) Puppy is barely 2 months old - couldn't withstand anesthetic due to young age
2) Infection
3) pup is not vaccinated
4) the wound is big

Dr Sugu suggested to do suturing to stitch the edges n make the wound smaller. but doing suturing and stitch back the loose skin (if the skin is not rotten in 3 days time), the size of the wound would reduced by 50%.
Inner lid for both eyes are reddish. Dr Said this might due to internal bleeding / someone hit the pup's head.

I guess he cries because he is in pain, and also due to separation anxiety.

Updates on the puppy will be done as often as possible and also if appeals for fund are required. We are praying so hard that this pup will pull through.
Lastly, many thanks to Mr Chong for rescuing this pup and decided to give the pup a second chance in life.
