ADOPTED PETS WHO ARE RETURNED BY THEIR NEW OWNERS|
As much as we try our very best by asking detailed questions and understanding potential adopters, we cannot stop it from happening.
2 main reasons we were given:
1. My family members had second thoughts, and decided they don’t let me have a pet.
2. The cat/dog don’t want to act friendly around me at home.
Ask yourself: “Is My Family Ready to Have a Pet??” You must make sure EVERYONE in the house is prepared to have a pet before adopting one! It takes weeks, or up to months for an animal to settle down in its new home. It is normal that your pet be cautious, fearful and even aggressive towards new friends and people. Imagine moving to a new house yourself, how long do you need to take to settle down?
Please share this information with your friends and family!
