My short life to date has been lived on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. I am only 5 months of age and my innocent world was shattered the day I was hit by a car.

I will never forget the terror and pain of that moment. My name is Delgado.

The accident left me with a seriously injured back leg and I was so lucky to be found by Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon. I was having problems trying to put weight on that leg and walking was impossible.

Since having surgery with Dr. Anders at the shelter, I am slowly improving day by day. Thanks to the Soi Dog supporters whose donations funded my treatment, I hope one day to be back walking like normal and this horrible accident will be a distant memory.

I am one of the lucky dogs but sadly, many more continue to suffer. As stray dogs, these animals have nobody to care for them when they are sick or injured. Left untreated, many simply won�t make it.
