Tan Chooi Chooi, the director of Casa, invited us to their grand opening today, in Kota Damansara.

All set up and waiting to roll.

This is Sandy with a dog rescued by Chooi Chooi. It could be a lost pet. The dog is up for adoption.

This is the inside of Casa.

They have very interesting and attractive accessories for pets. Casa is a petstore with a difference; they do not sell animals. Only accessories and petfood. In fact, they encourage the adoption of street animals.

 Dog-clothes and cat-clothes!

 Shoes for animals!

Even a cheongsam for animals!

It was supposed to be start at 11am, but Malaysians, being what they are, were, as always, fashionably late. It's called "rubber time". Hmm...they should read my book, Make Time While the Sun Shines.

Terry Saw, longtime helper and friend, turned up to help us.
What a pleasant surprise!

Giving a 3-minute talk on Managing the Strays Animals in your Neighbourhood.
This must be the shortest public talk I've ever given all my life!

Marina Tham brought this black doggie to visit, hoping she might get adopted.

She is very friendly and her coat glimmers. She was found wandering at the Arcadia Apartments in USJ, and she had a collar too. But no one has claimed her. We're going to get her spayed on Monday, and then, put her up for adoption. Any takers? Please contact Amy Tham on 012-2877303. The vet present estimated her to be about 6 months old.

This is Chooi Chooi, the director of Casa.

This lady said she had read my book, A Kite in the Wind.

The event ended at about 2.45pm. We'd like to express our gratitude and warmest appreciation to Chooi Chooi and her husband, Derrick, for inviting us to their grand opening. We wish them success and all the very best in the running of Casa, and may many animals and their owners benefit from the services and products they offer.

Guess who came home with us?

Yes, it's quite a long journey from Kota Damansara back to Subang Jaya.

Bobby greeting Blackie.

We met Dr Lai Chong at the opening too. And he wanted me to see his cat. Now, this is an incredible not-to-be-missed story....coming up next....
