REFUGEE BOY FINDS LOVE AT DOG SANCTUARY

Breathtakingly Beautiful Hope & Healing for War Zone Refugees

This is no ordinary boy and certainly no ordinary dog. The boy is named Timur and he and his mother and sister fled here from Donetsk, a place where artillery shelling and machine gun fire have killed thousands in recent months.

Two and a half years ago when the Harmony Fund provided the funds for FRIEND animal shelter to purchase this property in Dnepropetrovsk as a haven for the dogs, we never dreamed it would also become a home to people in need.

Today we are profoundly affected by the healing that takes place here as both a boy and a dog, both saved from homelessness and extreme violence, taken comfort in the company of one another and forget the outside world for just a moment.

FOOD & CARE FOR UKRAINE’s ANIMALS OF WAR:

The Harmony Fund is trying to raise funds to provide food, medicine and heat for thousands of animals in Ukrainian animal shelters. Our aim is to make sure that despite the food shortages and danger of war, the animals have enough to eat…. and certainly the human residents too.
