Yesterday, CP was quite worried all morning when Manja, the oldest cat in her colony of three, had not returned for breakfast.
She drove all round the neighbourhood searching for Manja but she was nowhere to be found.
After many hours, Manja came back, injured and battlescarred.
CP brought Manja to our panel vet for treatment.
Poor Manja had wounds on her face and head.
There was also bleeding at her vulva and anus. Poor, poor Manja. She has already been spayed, yet she was attacked there.
The vet put Manja down on the floor to observe her movements. Checking if there is any brain trauma. Luckily, there appears to be none.
Her claws have dropped off as well.
Injury on her paws.
Manja, being the oldest and mother to Didi and "mother-in-law" to Mimi, takes it upon herself to stand-off with Blackie and Nonsense, the neighbourhood gangster-bullies. CP says the two bullies even come right into her front porch to pick a fight with Manja and her family.
CP says Manja seems okay now, and is eating well. But CP is having a hard time keeping Manja indoors. Being a community cat, Manja wants to go back out to the street. Yet, the two bullies are around.
Stay indoors and get well soon, Manja.
Manja's treatment is sponsored by CP.
