Siew Choo brought this white cat, Belle, to be spayed in June, but our vet was very sure there was a telltale incision line on her side, which indicates that she had already been spayed. Coincidentally, Belle also disappeared from Siew Choo's back alley for a whole week about a month before that. All this pointed to the fact that Belle had probably been spayed during the time she "disappeared". Our vet even said it was probably he who spayed Belle because not many vets do the flank (side).
But two days ago, Siew Choo called me saying the males are going after Belle and a neighbour said Belle was showing all the signs on being on heat (making noises and holding her tail up).
So, Siew Choo caged Belle, had her fasted and brought her to our panel vet for an evaluation.
Long story cut short, our vet decided to open her up, and yes....Belle has not been spayed previously.
Anyway, she is spayed now. Properly spayed!
Before the spaying.
After the spaying.
Belle's spaying is sponsored from our funds. Siew Choo and her family will look after her as a community cat.
