Updates On 19th Aug 2014

Just about a year ago (in September 2013), a litter of ten puppies lost their mother as she was hit – and killed instantly – by a truck. SPCA was alerted to the 10 puppies that were left to fend for themselves, and took all 10 in. We turned to our fosterers in whose care the babies grew up well. All 10 babies were then adopted by different families and have been well brought up – and proof of the pudding is in the eating (pardon the pun!) of the birthday cake! :)

To celebrate their turning 1-year-old (well, almost!:)), the dogs’ respective families decided to come together for a Special Birthday Bash cum “Grown-up Puppies’ Party”, just last Saturday (August 16, 2014). This party took place at the home of one of the adopting families. (Thanks, Heather Jungk and family for having us all, canines and humans – from the adopting families and SPCA Singapore – at your home!)

We are pleased to share here a pic of seven of the siblings (sadly, the other 3 families could not make it for this party) together, as they took a breather from all that merrymaking. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to SIBU, STELLA, SINGA, SEMBA, YOSHI, YUKI, LUNA & to your 3 siblings (whose latest names we can’t confirm at this time of posting)!

Once orphaned, then neglected, this litter of ten are now leading separate lives but in different loving, forever homes. This Happy Ending has been possible because of our ever-trusty little community of fosterers (and adopters). SPCA is certainly on the prowl for more dependable and committed fosterers to join us in the fostering and thus saving of lives! Fostering an animal can be a deeply meaningful, and life-changing, experience for our fosterers and their families.
