Rainy Days Stories

It’s been raining recently and I’m sure this is welcomed by residents of Selangor. Let’s hope the dams fill up and we don’t have to live with water rationing again.
So on rainy days, as it would happen with humans too, cats get hungry more often…
All animals burn up more fat to keep warm when it’s cold, so they need more food.
A second breakfast.
Pole is behind Indy on the slab.
Dame Heidi makes herself comfortable on the sofa….all day.
Tabs is normally quite happy staying close to me, but Tiger wants to play.
And since young Tiger doesn’t quite know how to “play”. He plays rough and he is often misunderstood.
Even Tabs doesn’t understand that Tiger just wants to play. Look at her ears.
So, Tabs asks to go out of the room. She is afraid of the titans and now, she is even afraid of Tiger.
She likes to go upstairs to the bedroom window and watch the birds.
But when she is upstairs, Ginger stands guard at the foot of the stairs.
And Tabs is too afraid to come down because even Ginger bullies her.
Poor Tabs…
And this remains until Ginger goes away.
Or, we step in and intervene, which we often do.
Inside, she is terrified of Cow.
But…we have a hero in our midst.
The masked vigilante ensures that justice prevails. He protects the weak and vanquished.
He stands up against Cow.
For that matter, so does Cleo. Cleo whacks Cow too.
Bunny gets bullied as well.
One wonders how Tiger survived all these years, living amongst the titans.
Well, that’s why Tiger is the Mandela of the clan. He epitomises patience, perseverance and peace.
Ginger goes away and Tabs quickly comes down. She stands at the grille to let me know she has made it down the stairs safely.
But she is not ready to come inside yet.
Ginger lets her be.
Ahh….peace at last!
