We also fully acknowledge that some people try very hard, like the person who wrote a comment in Tangy's posting, asking for help as her neighbour's numerous cats keep coming into her garden and pee-ing and poo-ing everywhere. The neighbour even left a dead cat in her garden. We give her credit for not wanting to report because she knows the authorities will only capture and kill.

The only safe method I know that works (or sometimes, not) for cats is to use lemons and citrus scents. But my cats aren't the least afraid of these scents, though. They actually sniff at orange and mandarin peels and sleep right next to them!
