Updates On 2nd Aug 2014

After so many heartbreaking stories of Senior Pets being unwanted (cf. our earlier post today sharing the story of unwanted Senior Labrador, “Ma Kettle”, in the U.S.), here comes a heart-warming update!

Our 6-year-wise, SENIOR Cross-Maltese, HEIDI, finds love at last!

She once was lost and abandoned (harnessed and tied somewhere, left by her ex-owner), but now is adopted by Wan Hui and family! We, and especially Heidi, thank you, Wan Hui & family, for giving her a new chance and meaning in life!

We also thank Jacqueline Tay and family for adopting another (arguably) SENIOR Maltese (too! :) )! Jacqueline’s family has adopted 4-year-wise DERRICK, another abandoned Maltese brought to our shelter a month ago. Poor Derrick was found tied at a void deck somewhere in the Eastern part of Singapore, wounded and starved, physically and emotionally. He has since been brought back to health, and just today, found his forever home! (Didn’t manage to get a photo of Jacqueline & family with Derrick earlier today, but we’re giving a due shout-out to them here, too!)

We’re seeing more Seniors getting adopted as the pets of choice, by more adopters! The older the animals are, the more grateful and loyal they also tend to be. After all, age is just a number! And one is never too old to love and be loved!
