My name is Mayson. I am a 6 year old boy, a street dog of Thailand.

I was spotted one day by a man called Khun Sanae. He is something called an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog and he could see that I did not look good.

My face and neck were very swollen. Khun Sanae picked me up and wasted no time in getting me to the Soi Dog shelter.

The vets there examined me and saw that I was covered in cysts all over my body and I also had a bad case of bacterial dermatitis and inflamed lymph nodes.

I am now being treated for something called lymphoma, which is a common type of cancer in us street dogs. The vets are giving me something called chemotherapy and hoping I will eventually recover.

I am slowly starting to feel better and I know I owe everything to the Soi Dog supporters who have joined the Emergency Response Team. Their regular donations are what got me the help and treatment I needed. I owe them my life.

There are many street dogs and cats that are still suffering today. They have no owner to help them, nobody to take them to a vet. Their only hope is that YOU, reading my story, will decide to help them.
