We were greeted with 2 beautiful wild oriental pied hornbills – this time not from a public call! They were sighted this morning near our rescue centre! It is a privilege to be able to see wildlife like them.
Hornbills play an important role in the health of the forest as it disperses seeds that are too big for smaller birds to eat.
The Oriental pied hornbill is critically endangered in the Red list of threatened animals in Singapore. So count yourself lucky if you spot them! Have a good wednesday everyone!
