I am a 6 year old boy called Bradford. I am a street dog, which means Ive never had an owner to care for me. I have lived my whole life on the streets.
I was picked up by a man called Khun Sanae, who is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. I was in a very bad way when he found me and so he wasted no time in getting me to the shelter, where I was examined by the vets.
They told me I had something called demodectic mange, which is very common among street dogs in tropical climates like ours. My skin was crusty, scaly and very dry. All my fur had fallen out and I was also suffering with discharge from both my eyes.
Now I am on the medication I needed for so long and the vets are checking my progress very carefully. My fur is starting to grow back but very slowly. It is going to be a long time before I make a full recovery.
Despite all I have been through, the vets tell me I am one of the lucky street dogs. Thanks to the donations of some special Soi Dog supporters, I am now getting the treatment I need. These people are called the Emergency Response Team.
Can YOU do the same for another dog like me? There are many more street dogs and cats that are sick or injured. They need help too but they have nobody to turn to but you.
Please join the Emergency Response Team so that they too can be helped. No amount is too small and all you have to do is click on my picture to get started.
Thank you.
By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
