Please CLICK HERE To Help The Dogs & Cats Of Wat Suan Kaew

We recently introduced you to The Worst Shelter in the World, also known as Dog Condo, based at Bangkoks Suan Kaew temple.

Dog Condo came into existence with the best of intentions. Suan Kaew is a famous Bangkok temple, with its own charitable foundation and the abbot, Phra Payom Kallayano, is well respected for his good works.

When a cull on Bangkoks street dogs began prior to the 2003 APEC conference, Phra Payom ordered the construction of a shelter to save them.

Unfortunately, many pet owners went on to abuse the generosity of the shelter by dumping their unwanted pets there. Numbers rapidly spiralled out of control.

Following our visit to the shelter, we appealed to you, our supporters, for help and this is the latest update on what your donations have accomplished.

The photograph below shows the central area of Suan Kaew. This area, which the structure surrounds, consists of three large trenches of effluent.

These cesspools represented a terrible health hazard for the dogs, both in terms of disease and/or drowning. Thanks to your support, work has begun to provide proper septic processing and drainage, making it a safer and more habitable area for the dogs.

In addition, bridges have been constructed at various points over these trenches so that dogs no longer swim across.

A lot of progress has been made but much remains to be done. YOU can help us to dramatically improve the living conditions of these dogs and cats by making a secure donation today.

Please just CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW to get started.

Thank you.
