I was born on the streets of Phuket and have lived all my life there. As I got older, I became ill but I have never had an owner to care for me.

I am an 8 year old lady who has been suffering for a long time. My name is Irene.

I was found recently by a man called Khun Sanae, who could see I had problems. He scooped me up in his arms and promised to help me. Khun Sanae is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog.

At the shelter, the vets examined me and saw that I had a large tumour on my tongue. This was causing me to drool a lot and although I had a good appetite, I was having problems eating.

Since being rescued, things are getting better for me every day. I am being treated with chemotherapy to get rid of that painful tumour and the vets hope I will soon be a healthy dog once more.

There are many street dogs like me and despite what I’ve been through, I am luckier than most.

Thanks to the donations of a special group of Soi Dog supporters, I am now getting the treatment I needed. These special people are called the Emergency Response Team.

Please consider joining them. By becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team, you are guaranteeing rescue and help to a suffering animal.

Can you do that? All you have to do is click on my photo to get started.

Thank you.

By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
