Raju Unchained: Watch This Elephants Transformation From Captivity To Sanctuary

Raju (the elephant) unchained, a new life unleashed…..

We are happy to share that, after a whopping 50 years of captivity, Raju is now all geared for his long-overdue second chance for a (much) better life. He’s well treated – with both medicine and due care/nutrition – at the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre at Mathura, India.

“It’s been less than a week since [his rescue by Wildlife SOS], and he’s well on his way to recovery”, says Nikki Sharp, Wildlife SOS-USA’s Executive Director.

According to this update from The Dodo online, once Raju’s infections heal, he’ll even be pampered with his very own swimming pool exercises. Way to go, Raju! Go spoil yourself crazy!

For the love of animals. Pass it on.
