The Himalayan Mutt Project, to help the Himalayan dogs, brought to life by Debby Ng.

Former SPCA volunteer, Debby Ng, is all grown up now, but certainly hasnt outgrown her cause! Her staunch dedication to the animal welfare cause has seen her extend her compassion to the animals of Nepals Himalayas

She started the Himalayan Mutt Project, recently in end-2013, to deliver neutering and anti-rabies vaccinations to dogs living in the high Himalayan region, where some of the poorest mountain communities inhabit.

As the dogs there have been killing wildlife and livestock, and with no alternatives to animal birth control to rely upon, desperate villagers resort to poisoning and drowning the dogs in an attempt to reduce their numbers. Therein lies the need for a far more HUMANE way of effectively managing the dog population there.
