I am a 3 year old boy called Wisdom. Born a street dog, I have never had a home or an owner to love me. I have been suffering for most of my short life.

I was picked up by a man called Thep. Khun Thep is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. He found me lying in a shallow canal, having lost the will to live.

I had a serious injury to one of my legs, I was covered in gangrene sores and most of my fur had fallen out. Thep waded into that canal and lifted me out.

At the shelter, I was examined by the Soi Dog vets. They saw that I had something called demodectic mange and started me immediately on treatment.

Later, I was sent to a special hospital to have my leg x-rayed. They found a very serious fracture that had been left untreated for too long. I could no longer use that leg.

I have had that bad leg removed now and the vets are doing special exercises with me to get me moving again. Today, Dr. Eed was cleaning my wound and I showed her how happy I was. I am a very friendly dog and love to get a pat and even a hug. I know these people have saved me.

After all the suffering I have gone through, would you believe me when I tell you I am one of the lucky ones? Thanks to some special Soi Dog supporters, I was picked up and treated. These supporters are called the Emergency Response Team and I owe everything to them.

I am just one of many street dogs in Phuket. I know there are others out there that are sick or injured or that have been abused or abandoned. Can you please help them? By joining the Emergency Response Team, you will be making sure they get the help they so urgently need.

All you have to do is click on my photo to get started.

Thank you.
