SHE HOLDS THEM, EACH AND EVERY ONE

Norica Prigoana lives and breaths for the dogs, subjecting herself to such such emotionally difficult experiences as she delivers carefully prepared meals to the dogs at the public dog pound in Gherla, Romania. The dogs all beg for Norica to come to them when she arrives. It’s not really the food they’re after. It’s the affection. She holds them, each and every one of them. This love, and the meal that follows, is the highlight of their day.

Yes, Norica is thin and very pretty, but not for the reasons you might think. Norica sleeps little and eats even less. She has barely a moment to eat, let alone the money to buy groceries on par with what many of us have in our refrigerator. And she glows not because of expensive skin care products, but because she simply can’t help it when she’s around the dogs.But what happens when she goes home at night with thoughts of mounting bills swimming in her head. Because so many supporters are enjoying vacations for the summer, donations are way down while the costs of caring for the animals has stayed the same.

Tonight we’re sending emergency funds to Norica to help pay backlogged veterinary bills and costs to finish construction of some of the dog enclosures at her sweet dog orphanage in Romania.

We’re borrowing this donation from the tiny nest egg we had been saving up for the Harmony Fund’s own sanctuary near our headquarters. This is a place where we’ll offer intensive care to rescued farm animals, rabbits and cats who have leukemia, diabetes and other issues labeling them “hard to love”.

We don’t like to ask, but if anyone would like to help out today, we sure could use it. So sorry to ask, but we’re in need and our Facebook family is the one place we have to turn to.
