I am a street dog. You might not have dogs like me in your country, but here in Thailand, we are many. We are born on the streets, we live our whole lives on the streets, we die on the streets.

For some, it happens earlier in life but in my case, I have managed to reach the ripe old age of 10. I am sick now, and in need of help. My name is Aubrey.

I was brought to Soi Dog by a man called Jaroon. He is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. I am suffering from a fungal skin infection and something called demodectic mange.

This meant I was itching and scratching constantly, and with no owner to care for me, things just went from bad to worse. My beautiful fur started to fall out.

I also have a constant, full body twitch. I cannot help this; it is muscle twitching caused by the fact that I once had something called distemper.

I am being looked after now, and treated for my skin conditions. When a Soi Dog person comes to visit me, they have to approach me slowly and sit quietly beside me before I will let them pat me. Once the patting starts though, I will follow them everywhere for more.

I am so happy I am being helped in my old age and I know that this could only happen because of a special group of Soi Dog supporters. They live all over the world but care very much for the suffering dogs and cats of Thailand. They are the Emergency Response Team.

Remember how I told you at the beginning of the story that there are so many of us street dogs? There are others out there and they need your help. They are sick like me or they have been injured.

Won’t you please help them by joining the Emergency Response Team? Please just click on my photo to get started. You will be changing the world for so many other dogs like me.

Thank you.
