DESPERATELY SICK AND ALL ALONE ON THE STREET… HOW COULD I CARE FOR MY TWO LITTLE BABIES?
My name is Vita and I have been a very sick lady. I was born a street dog, which means I have never had an owner to care for me. By the time I gave birth to my two little babies Veni and Vidi, I was in a very bad way.
I had developed something called sarcoptic mange and a terrible fungal skin infection. I was itching and scratching constantly. Frighteningly skinny and weak, I had lost all my once beautiful fur.
I battled every day to care for my babies, no matter how sick I felt. But I struggled to produce enough milk for them and before long they started to develop the same skin problems as me. It made me so desperately sad.
Everything changed the day we were all picked up by a man from Soi Dog. Brought first to a nearby Soi Dog mobile clinic, we were then sent to the shelter.
We were all started on treatment for our skin conditions and then placed together in a quiet space where I was given food and water and could look after Veni and Vidi.
My babies are thriving now and so happy with their new friends in the puppy run. As for me, I too have turned a corner and my skin is improving every day. My fur has started to grow back and I feel beautiful once more.
I love when the Soi Dog staff enter my run; I run to them for a cuddle and a belly rub. They tell me about the very special people who saved my babies and me. They are the Soi Dog supporters who make up the Emergency Response Team. Without their donations, none of us would be here today.
Can YOU join the team and save another little family like ours? I know there are many other animals still out there, struggling to survive. They are sick or injured, or they have been abused or abandoned.
They need you. Please don’t let them down. Please join the Emergency Response Team today.
Thank you.
By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
